The social program will reflect our desires to meet together:
1. Welcome receptions

B) Young Scientists welcome reception (Wine & cheese) in Versailles Convention Center (room Luli, level -1)
2. Royal Run around the “Pièce d’eau des suisses”
Wednesday September 7th, 2022 (6.45 am – 7.45 am)
This 13-hectare basin was created between 1679 and 1682 by a Gardes-Suisses regiment who gave it his name. Its purpose was to enhance the southern view of the palace as an extension of the Orangery, but it also allowed for the cleanup of the ground designated for the King’s Vegetable Garden (Potager du Roi), which was built at the same time. A replica of Bernini’s sculpture of Louis XIV on horseback is located at the end of the water feature. The sculpture, which had not pleased the king, was eventually changed into an old hero and placed out of sight of the monarch…

The area is currently a wonderful spot for leisure or a picnic, surrounded by enormous lawns and broad alleyways filled with magnificent plane trees
3. Cruise on the Seine in Paris
Wednesday September 7th, 2022 (5.45 pm- 23.30 pm)
If there is one journey to take in Paris, it has to be one along the Seine riverbanks… in one of the boats that navigate up and down! As you pass over, you’ll see some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, the Conciergerie, and the Grand Palais. A renowned succession of stunning sites that makeit a one-of-a-kind journey…
Departures of bus (bus park on Place d’Armes, in front of Versailles Palace and convention center) : 5.45 pm – 6.30 pm
Return by Bus, same place : 23 pm – 23.30 pm
4. Farewell Banquet at “Les Pyramides”, a splendid place near the Versailles Palace
Thursday, September 8th, 2022 (7.30 pm – 2.30 am)
Departures of bus (bus park on Place d’Armes, in front of Versailles Palace and convention center) : 6.30 pm – 7 pm
Return by Bus, same place : 12 am – 2.30 am
